Numbers Protocol

Numbers Protocol is a decentralized system for tracking the provenance of digital media, including AI-generated content. It uses Numbers Mainnet, an Avalanche Subnet-based blockchain, and the ERC-7053 standard to record an immutable history of assets on-chain.

The NUM token pays transaction fees and is staked by validators and witness nodes. The system integrates C2PA standards for content authenticity and helps AI agents work with verified data.

Within Web3, Numbers Protocol supports transparency and trust in data, which is relevant to generative AI. Its AI role is supporting rather than central, focused mainly on similar-image search and AI-content provenance rather than model training or execution.
